Good afternoon LGCR Volunteers!

I can't believe we’re already halfway through this Holiday Season and beginning to plan for 2026. A suggestion that’s come up a few times, mainly as it relates to our Big Dog Walkers, is to create a “Sub List” for coverage when someone can’t make their usual volunteer time. So, rather than relying on Facebook posts (except as a last resort), I've created a “Volunteer News” board in the Volunteer Room which contains a place for this list. I’m hoping we can get at least five people to sign up as substitutes for the new year. Their names and phone numbers will be posted on the list, and anyone who needs a sub can contact one directly to fill their slot.

If you or someone you know has completed our orientation and 1:1 training and is interested in becoming a substitute walker (or cuddler), please contact me privately. The ideal dog walking candidate should be someone experienced with our our residents and flexible with changing schedules. Also, they must be someone who will strictly follow our safety protocols. I hope to have this list completed and ready to post by January 1st.
