Our Palliative Pantry

This is What Palliative Care Looks Like
Every morning begins in the Small Dog Bunkhouse kitchen.
One by one, we prepare meals for senior companions whose health depends on individualized nutrition.
Before Solace evertakes her first bite of breakfast, someone has already considered what her body needs that day. Her age. Her heart. What she can comfortably eat. What will help her feel her best.
For many senior dogs, breakfast isn't simply the first meal of the day. It's part of their medical care.
What is the Palliative Pantry?
The Palliative Pantry is the nutritional foundation of Living Grace Canine Ranch's palliative care program.
Every day, specialized meals are thoughtfully prepared for senior companions whose medical conditions require more than kibble alone. Some receive a soft-food topper to encourage them to eat. Others require meals blended with bone broth because advanced dental disease has made chewing difficult. Some rely on prescription diets that support chronic medical conditions.
No two bowls are prepared exactly alike because no two residents arrive with the same needs.
Every thoughtfully prepared meal becomes another act of comfort, dignity, and love.

“Living Grace doesn't promise a different ending. It promises a different experience of the ending.
That is the essence of palliative care.” — Rhonda Minardi, Founder & Executive Director
