‘Twas the weeks before Barksgiving and across all the Ranch

Volunteer Elves were busy trimming every Christmas tree branch

Residents’ stockings were hung by their apartments with care

In hopes that the Donors soon would be there

While the Littles all snuggled up close in a lap

The Big Dogs settled in for their afternoon nap

When up in the attic there arose such a clatter

What is that I see descending the ladder?

Why it’s more Volunteer Elves carrying boxes and bows

and all sizes and shapes of festive Christmas dog clothes!

It must be our favorite time of the year

When we open our doors and spread holiday cheer

Raising funds and awareness is our mission you see

To support the needs of our canine community

So if decking the halls happens to be your thing

Please join our committee and our hearts will sing

St. Nick and Noelle will howl with delight

When they see us stringing up the Christmas lights!

We are looking for a handful of Volunteer Elves to join us in decorating the Ranch for Barksgiving which will be held on November 9th this year.

We will begin meeting each week starting the week of October 14th to get the Ranch ready for our biggest and best fundraising event of the year. This is a huge undertaking so please consider strapping on your "elf" toolbelt and helping us turn the Ranch into a festive Christmas wonderland! Feel free to PM me for more details.
