Well House Wrap Up
There are many things that happen behind the scenes at the Ranch, enabling it to run smoothly and efficiently, but which volunteers never see.
The location of one of these is the burgundy building that houses the well for the Ranch (or as you Texans call it – our tank). Over the years, the inside of this building became a dumping ground for anything and everything at the Ranch that did not otherwise have a place. There were times you could barely get into it much less, move around or find anything. At one point, it was even home to four snakes and a giant Texas toad (which is why this girl refused to go back in there until they were “evicted”).
While the recent renovations were going on in the other buildings, Ranch Volunteer and Big Dog Walker, Ken Dancak, utilized his marine training to tame the wild beast that is our Well House. The transformation has been nothing short of amazing and I for one
appreciate the principle of “a place for everything and everything in its place”. Ken went above and beyond to organize this little seen area of the Ranch, and I felt he should be recognized for his efforts.
So please help me say a big “thank you” to Ken, not only for his dedication to Living Grace and its Ranch residents, but also for his service to our Country! Ken, maybe you could tackle my garage next? 😊
thank you Ken. maybe see this transformation June 7th
