Although a minor program, LGCR’s Project Rural Roadside Rescue has a significant impact. It provides hope and wellness to rural dogs of all ages who have encountered less-than-kind humans. Often injured and unsuitable for a positive shelter outcome, LGCR offers Project Roadside Rescue dogs a chance to feel loved with the support of local animal control professionals and our expansive nationwide rescue partners.
A smile is a natural reaction to joy, love, and happiness and represents a state of general well-being. It reflects happiness and triggers brain activity, filling us with warmth and affection.
Do Dogs Understand Human Smiles?
Our connection with dogs transcends words. Only 10% of our communication with them is verbal. The remaining 90% is conveyed through non-verbal cues like posture, gestures, body language, and facial expressions. Mastering these cues can deepen our understanding and enhance our interactions with furry friends.
