Regarding canine dementia, people unfamiliar with loving an inflicted senior dog may think, 'Where is the Life value?' LGCR believes that protecting him is our greatest gift until the resident finds no joy or purpose for existing.

Last summer, Chico's Life took a turn for the better. After a successful dental procedure relieving daily pain, he rediscovered his sense of joy. His days were again filled with his favorite activities: enjoying food, spending time with his family, and diligently guarding his small dog bunkhouse friends.

Chico's memorial cypress tree, adorned with his jingle bell collar, reminds us that the value of life may lie in simple things that connect us to feeling loved.
