Deliah: Canine Privilege Only Goes So Far

Shih Tzus, known for their resilience, were once cherished by royalty during the Ming Dynasty (1368 to 1644 A.D). However, after the 1949 Communist revolution, all Shih Tzus in China were tragically killed due to their association with wealth.

Centuries later, at the age of eight, Delilah's life was in danger when she developed bladder stones, and her owners asked the vet to euthanize her. It's difficult to understand the reasons behind such a drastic decision without passing judgment. However, we are grateful that the Dallas veterinarian sought LGCR's help.

Since 2022, Delilah has been living a healthy and joyful life with her Senior2Senior mom. They treat each other like royalty, and their bond is a testament to the joy and fulfillment that forever fostering can bring without the financial burden senior citizens face in responsible pet caregiving.
