Lady Lola Life Reflection
At age fourteen, Lady Lola's health prevented her return to her English homeland, where she began life not far from King Arthur's tomb in Herefordshire. Exceptional in canine social skills, Lola introduced the game tug-of-war to many residents and would gently remind them—when needed—that this was' a game.' Sociability amongst challenged peers rose, and we are forever grateful.
At last May's Golden Years Club Celebration, Lola's mom returned from England to walk her girl in the parade. It was an unforgettable family reunion as mom and daughter enjoyed each other's company daily for a week. Mom has often shared that The Ranch brought her peace of mind and healed her heart, knowing that Lola was safe and loved.
We miss her smile and playfulness but look forward to seeing Lady Lola on the other side.
A side note to our Ranch Volunteers: You may notice a lapse between a resident's death and the social announcement. This is to notify family members and sponsors.
Lola was a special pal of mine, and I will miss her playful greeting, taking my hand in her mouth and bouncing happily with her beloved squeaky moose. Rest well, dear girl.
