Buddy began his Ranch Chapter last March, having been a long-term stray who had eaten a beach towel for survival. However, early this month, he was struck by vestibular disease and, in the past few days, experienced intestinal bleeding that would require exploratory surgery with no promise of determining a quality-of-life outcome.

The time we did have together created gentle, loving memories that were soothing to Buddy's end-of-life journey. His presence will be missed on the sofa, enjoying rotisserie chicken and ice cream cones. Thank you for loving Buddy so profoundly.
