New Resident: Jean

If a dog is separated from its familiar environment, it will rely on its primal instincts for survival, prioritizing food, water, safety, and shelter. Dogs in survival mode may display heightened fear and anxiety, making them more likely to flee or act defensively as they perceive humans as potential threats.

The Lakeway canine community's collective efforts were instrumental in this mission. They worked tirelessly for over nine days, communicating with animal control and reporting sightings of a frightened dog, Jean, who was willing to bite anyone attempting to rescue her. Their patience, gentleness, and respect for Jean's boundaries eventually brought her to safety.

Shortly after arriving, Jean received a thorough examination and much-needed dental extractions. Although still defensively spirited, it's time for Jean to return home, relax, and start a new chapter of her life feeling safe and loved.
