The LGCR sanctuary permanently guards over one hundred senior dogs. Our residents, who average thirteen years old, are considered 'adoption-disadvantaged' due to lifelong medical, mobility, and emotional challenges.

When a Sanctuary Sweetheart no longer requires 24-hour skilled caregiving, they become eligible to live in a traditional home environment as a lifelong committed foster relationship. So that a senior never again experience abandonment, in exchange for a foster parent's commitment of love until the final breath, LGCR covers all pet caregiving expenses, such as veterinary, nutrition, and grooming.
