Rumor had it that a big yellow dog, nicknamed Old Yeller, roamed a San Antonio neighborhood for years, surviving by the kindness of neighbors setting out food and water. As the summer temperatures breached triple digits, we heard of his location and set off to find the street warrior. When discovered, jumping into an air-conditioned van and heading home didn't take much convincing.

Sampson is approximately twelve years of age, heartworm positive, whose eroded teeth and exposed roots are often associated with chewing on chains or metal. He's an energetic senior and intelligent enough to know he is now home to Where Love Resides.
