Often, good Samaritans or desperate pet owners find themselves locked out of surrendering a stray or companion pet to a nearby shelter. Why?
So you can stop scratching a big hole in your noggin, here's one of the reasons: wrong zip code. It's all about the taxpayers' money allocated in the form of grants and contracts. Animal welfare agencies, shelters, and many large rescue/adoption organizations compete for a slice of the revenue pie.
Hence, violation of "the rules" could result in not only having their paws slapped but a devastating cutback in their life-saving work. None of us want that to happen!
At Living Grace Canine Ranch, the generosity of public donations funds our programs of mercy and activities. We do not accept Federal, State, or Local agencies' assistance grants or are bound by restrictive contracts.
By choosing not to seek or accept these funding sources, LGCR is unleashed to fulfill our mission of saving, serving, and valuing the lives of all Texas seniors in need of kindness, protection, and unconditionally loving care.
We humbly ask that you always bless our mission, our residents, and all displaced Texas senior canines who want nothing more than to be loved.
“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.”
Matthew 11:28
