In 2016, at the age of eight

According to all veterinary chart notes, littermates Poe and Lilly lived a cherished life until their parents died in 2016. Bequeathing hard assets such as real estate combined with a pet parent's assumption that their pets will be cared for is a common mistake. Poe and Lilly remained in their beloved parent's home without medical care and grooming for eight years; in other words, they grew old together. When it became advantageous to sell the house, Poe was given away, and Lilly surrendered to a rural shelter for euthanasia.

A New Life Journey

Shortly after bringing Lilly home, LGCR learned of Brother Poe, negotiated his surrender, and rushed directly to the loving arms of our Medical Director's veterinary team. Today and forever more, Poe and sister Lilly are together, surrounded by hope, health, and happiness.
