From Kendall County Animal Control to Where Love Resides in Bertram, a thirteen-year-old Chihuahua named Birdie Girl traveled nearly two hundred miles of rural roads without saying a peep. Upon seeing the LGCR entrance gates and a courtyard filled with little wagging tails, her expression changed to curiosity with a dash of joy.

Her sources of pain radiated from severe dental disease, flea anemia, and nails that curled toward her paw pads. Today, though toothless, we have one little joy-filled Chihuahua that enjoys nothing more than a human touch.
