JELLY BEAN

Guadalupe County is likely no different from other rural populated Texas areas. Yet, we see a preponderance of abandoned, sickly senior dogs left to fend for survival.

Jelly Bean is a classic example of a ‘use and lose’ dog; in other words, a backyard breeding animal.

Jelly Bean’s approximate age is 20 years, blind and un-neutered. Upon Ranch check-in, his medical examination revealed complete erosion of a jaw bone (due to periodontal disease) and intestinal worms. Malnourished and weighing under three pounds was not an easy task locating a terrified little Yorkie amongst the tall country road grasses.

Jelly Bean is a feisty little guy that scampers, twirls with excitement, and hops onto laps for the pleasure of being held. Not only is loving Jelly Bean our joy, but it’s also our mission to save, serve and value Texas senior dogs, regardless of medical, physical, and emotional challenges.

Please consider a monthly donation to support Jelly Bean’s remaining life journey, knowing only wellness and human love.
