Australian Cattle Dogs are known for their loyalty, energy, nipping, and instinctual need to herd. On December 12th, 2020, the bonded duo of Huck (age 15) and Sara (age 18) arrived with wagging tails after a short animal shelter stays as orphans.

Huck and Sara were inseparable, and for the next year, more memories filled their live album. Sadly, Sara passed away from complications of bowel obstruction three days before their resident anniversary.

No amount of donor money or gifts can mend a broken heart. At LGCR, we recognize the importance of the relationship between canines and humans. It’s fragile and to be honored.

As with all of our bonded pair residents, though we can never ‘replace’ their sense of loss, we promise that our bond is forever and always.
