Brownie is physically ten years of age but emotionally a ten-week-old puppy caused by a lifetime of isolation from the outside world and other animals. Unlike physical scars, emotional trauma may take years (if ever) to overcome. It takes time and mindful patience to help Brownie enjoy his life, one that he can feel safe, protected, and loved.
