Remembrance: Shawn

Shawn, an exuberant bundle of eighty pounds of love, filled our lives for a whole year, yearning for acceptance and the warmth of unconditional care that only a loving home can provide.

However, appearances can be misleading. In reality, he was fragile due to a life-limiting disease known as hemangiosarcoma. This fragility, unique to hemangiosarcoma, is something we can empathize with as caregivers and parents. Hemangiosarcoma is relatively common, accounting for 5-7% of all tumors seen in dogs.

Shawn's memorial portrait serves as a reminder that only love resides at Living Grace Canine Ranch.

Layla: Bladder Cancer Diagnosis

At first glance, watching Layla play and jump effortlessly on the sofa, you would never suspect that her life journey is nearing its end. Walter's Right Jab

Do Boxers Box?

Absolutely! Boxer dogs are known for their playful "boxing" behavior with their front paws during playtime, and this is precisely how they earned their name.

Boxers are energetic dogs that enjoy playing by pushing each other with their front paws. They also like to "hug" their owners with their front paws to ask for attention. With their strong front legs, they can quickly move people around and might even playfully trap you with their charming boxing moves!

Walter is nearly nine years old and the most physically active ranch resident. When he throws a right hook, the Ranch Pals know he expresses his love in his unique boxer style.
